I apply it with a light hand (because it contains mineral oil or petroleum) and keep in in for 5 mins. Just in case it's actually designed to somehow normalize the hair after the treatment. For an alternative to the 2 minute, try the Aubrey Organics GPB conditioner. Doesn't have mineral oil, and a lot of people use it with good success for a protein conditioner. Burbujas Posts: 24. If you’re have breakage, I’d suggest doing the 2 step treatment one time. then switch to moisturizing deep conditioners. The 2 step shouldn’t be repeated more than once in a 30 day period.
