WebI have implemented by own malloc and free using mmap. Now since unlike free, munmap also takes length as parameter, therefore I put length as an additional information in the mapped memory.. The code for my malloc and free is shown below. I want to ask, if this code is good or am I still missing anything or doing something in a wrong way. Web10 feb. 2024 · My malloc () in C using mmap () My latest school project was to implement malloc (), free (), realloc () and calloc () from the standard C library. I came up with something a bit similar to the glibc malloc (). It supports multi-threading; speed is pretty good according to my tests. Not very portable (meant for Linux 64bits and Darwin 64bits).
http://danluu.com/malloc-tutorial/ Web26 mei 2024 · Some limitations of this implementation include: There is no realloc (). This implementation uses unsigned int rather than size_t, so it does not follow the Standard, and can only allocate 32 bits on most 64-bit implementations. It passes a value of -1 as the file descriptor, which is not conformant to the POSIX standard.
Web10 jan. 2024 · * mm-naive.c - The fastest, least memory-efficient malloc package. * * In this naive approach, a block is allocated by simply incrementing * the brk pointer. A block is pure payload. There are no headers or * footers. Blocks are never coalesced or reused. Realloc is * implemented directly using mm_malloc and mm_free. * Web23 feb. 2024 · node.used is a start of the allocated memory (so mymalloc returns the addres of node.used ), not allocation flag. node.info.size is a count of chunk s as a continuing allocated chunk area (the count includes itself). pool is a array of chunk s. NOTE: a free node is just a single independent node, not a bunch of chunk s ( info.size is always 0).
