Ammonia 1ppm, Nitrite 5ppm, Nitrate 20ppm, pH 7.0 10g (water looks clear) Ammonia .50ppm, Nitrite 1ppm, Nitrate 10ppm, pH 7.0 LFS advised me to use Poly-Filter to help w/ poor water. I have just bought some Biohome mini bio filter pieces 1kg and put it in the top tray of my 307 as well as 2 PolyFilter pads. I got rid of the carbon altogether. So I now have 2 trays full of bio media. WebJan 29, 2024 · It is a small power filter, so plenty of water is pumped through the polyfilter, after its been trough the sponge. I was just wondering if it was normal that it becomes tanned in a view days. In another tread a gentleman replied that his polyfilter was tan in about two weeks in a coral only nano tank. So I guess every view days is fine in my case.

Will the use of polyfilter prevent the ammonia feeding the bacteria. I only use RO now for changes. I'll do a water change tomorrow normally it's 25% I want to stock but afraid until the tank settles
